10thousandgirl Picnic 'Something Bigger'
10thousandgirl Picnic 'Something Bigger'
Story
You are invited to the 10thousandgirl Christmas do!
This soiree is different to your regular Christmas party
in three important ways:
1. It is a picnic. This means that a horizontal posture is acceptable, nay, encouraged. Pets are allowed. Eskies and thongs and blankets are the accessories du jour.
2. You will not get any presents. Let’s face it; giving and receiving presents is a dangerous business. Gift-buying is downright stressful, and chances are that the person selecting something for you has no idea you want a ginger ninja cookie cutter, and will give you a mustache guard instead. But! It would be folly to spurn the spirit of giving. So we have arranged with our friends at Opportunity International for gifts of ducklings, boats and handlooms to make their way to people living in poverty via this here webpage. View the full catalogue here.
3. There is a theme, and while dressups are looked upon favourably in the handing-out of picnic treats and Ultimate Frisbee points, it’s not about your getup. It’s about Something Bigger—celebrating your plans for Something Bigger for others, Something Bigger for yourself.
Hope you can join us! Buy a duck.
